Is Flexistone made from real stone?
Yes. Flexistone is a composite material made from a blend of real stone powder and resin, bonded to a fibreglass backing to replicate the authentic texture and appearance of natural stone.
Where can Flexistone be used?
Flexistone can be used across a range of interior and exterior applications, including feature walls, fireplaces, bathrooms, commercial spaces and external surfaces depending on the product type.
Flexistone Peel & Stick panels are designed for interior use only and are not suitable for external applications, and is restricted to only splash proof environments.
What is the difference between standard Flexistone and peel & stick?
Standard Flexistone Veneer panels are installed using adhesive and are suitable for larger feature walls, interiors, and exterior applications. Flexistone Veneer is completely waterproof, making it suitable for both indoor and outdoor use.
Peel & Stick Flexistone features a self-adhesive backing designed for quicker interior installation and is splash-proof only, making it best suited to dry areas or spaces with occasional moisture exposure.
Is Flexistone difficult to install?
No. Flexistone is designed for straightforward installation. Standard panels are installed using adhesive, while Peel & Stick options can be applied directly to suitable interior surfaces.
Can Flexistone be cut to size?
Yes. Flexistone panels can be cut to size for a precise fit. For the neatest finish, we recommend using a fine-tooth circular saw blade to achieve a clean, accurate cut.
How flexible is Flexistone?
Flexistone can be shaped to accommodate bends and curves when heat is applied. For best results, heat should be applied continuously while gently shaping the panel until the desired radius is achieved.
Is Flexistone waterproof?
Flexistone Veneer is completely waterproof, making it suitable for both interior and exterior applications, including bathrooms, kitchens, and outdoor feature walls.
Flexistone Peel & Stick is splash-proof only and is designed for interior use in dry areas or spaces with occasional moisture exposure. It is not recommended for direct water contact or fully wet environments.
